When Toru was recharging the batteries of his coworker, he began to refer to themselves as "two warm lumps of flesh. That was what everyone was." When Toru is listening to Lieutenant Mamiya and after Yamamoto was skinned, Mamiya refered to him as a "lump of flesh" I'm not sure if this is somehow connected to Toru. I just noticed that they were interconnected ideas. Toru's statement was evidenced with the experience of Mamiya. Everyone is just a lump of flesh.
